Great hotel. Suites provided more space. The lobby had plenty of seating for socializing. The fitness room was over the top with an array of equipment for your physical focus. The majority of the staff, especially Jonathan at the front desk, were welcoming and displayed a spirit of service and helpfulness. The Yard restaurant was the best – great cuisine. 👍🏽

Definitely like the new look. Staff was great in assisting and answering any questions that I had. Rooms were comfy. Love the fact that the Yard House is attached to the hotel. Smart idea combing the coffee bar with a liquor bar. Wish I had the chance to check it out while I was there. Overall, great job! Looking forward to coming back next year.

Loved the hotel. Lots of amenities and got a great room. The breakfast was great and they have a Yard House Restaurant on their lobby basically but also their own restaurant / bar. Someone mistakenly charged something to my room and they took care of it with no hesitation. My room was super clean with great views. Will definitely come back

This hotel is awesome! The food was all delicious and the service is great. The room was clean, with no problems with any bugs or anything. All the outlets worked and anything else in the room. Assisted everywhere and provided all the necessary quality care. I would love to return there for another stay. Overall it was an excellent stay! Thank you!

Room was fine and clean. The location to downtown is everything! Tons of great restaurants nearby. Friendly staff for the most part, except when we checked out the woman didn’t even thank us for our stay and just handed us the bill (we stayed 6 days.) I really liked the night lady Cynthia, she was the best! Fast elevators were appreciated. $35 parking

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your resort. This site will compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of my favorites in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I’m sure!
So far, it’s been an enjoyable experience at the Hyatt! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the rooms are excellent. Definitely recommended.

My stay was perfect! I am a Hyatt colleague and was so looking forward to my stay. I had originally booked at another Hyatt but was unhappy with the hotel so I had a last minute cancellation and booked at 10pm the same night at this Hyatt Regency. The manager, Isaac, was SO helpful by showing us a tour of a room before we booked a reservation. He also insured I was given each of my colleague perks, and hooked us up with a fabulous room on a high floor with a unforgettable view. Isaac was super kind, personable, and helpful our entire stay. We then checked in at the desk with Mike, and he was awesome. He was super kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we as colleagues felt welcomed. Finally, Andrew helped us upn check out and he was also outstanding and made sure the process was a breeze. Our room was super clean, the beds and pillows were SO comfy, and the hotel amenities were top notch. The roof-top bar is what sold us. My only critique would be to have some more food options at the Market, but otherwise everything was PERFECT. Will definitely come to stay here again.

Definitely feels like it’s from a different and elegant era. The common area and event rooms are great for gatherings. Really liked the dining hall with a live band making excellent music! Our event was staffed by a bar tender and they did a good job of providing mixed drinks even requests. Didn’t get a chance to stay the night unfortunately.

On Aug. 1, 2018, my large family of 15 treated ourselves to High Tea in the lobby of The Brown Palace. It was a great success and we especially wanted to thank Jacalyn Columbia for her help in accommodating our needs and then changing the date at the last minute at our request without complaint. Also, the lovely Jessica who patiently and professionally took care of our table and it wasn’t easy! She was so great with all of our many orders and replenished the diminishing treats quickly. She was smiling and gracious throughout our 2 hour stay. Our outing met our excited expectations and I would recommend the experience to anyone who wants to enjoy a piece of Denver history.

Convenient location and nice price. Rooms were somewhat dated and could have been cleaned better. Shower didn’t drain properly and backed up while using it. Toilets were louder than the ones on a cruise ship. Free hot breakfast is always a nice touch. All employees were friendly and helpful.

The location is ideal, with lots of restaurants nearby. It is right across the street from the Brown Palace hotel, which a very swanky hotel. The guy who checked us in was friendly and fast, and he gave us a free upgrade, which was nice. The room was fine, but the bathroom was TINY! I think the sink in our RV is bigger than the one in this hotel room. There is virtually no way to have two people in the bathroom at the same time.
But other than that, it was good for the price.

We never stayed at the hotel and personally called 3 days prior spoke with hotel reservations and cancelled the reservation. Hotel charged our credit card as a no show. I called IHG who advised I needed to talk with hotel directly. Immediately called hotel and spoke with David who said he was the manager and would look into this right away and call me back. Never received a call back. Called 1 week later, David was busy and left message. Never got call back. Called back 1 week later and again David was not available to talk on the phone and they assured me he would call me back. Again no return call.
WARNING seems IHG Holiday Inn hotels – some are franchises and since this is a franchise hotel IHG does not get involved in complaints/disputes and you need to deal directly with the hotel.
Very poor customer service both on the hotel end and also with IHG. Unfortunately we will never reserve and or stay at another IHG hotel again

I’ll start here by saying that I’ve always enjoyed my stays here. A few of the other reviewers don’t seem to understand the concept of a hostel, and what traveling on a budget is.
One reviewer ranted that a bunk mate was messy. Rather than report it to staff, he judges the whole place on another guest. Would he rather bedrooms be monitored by 24 hour camera? (Obvious not, but a little communications goes a long way.)
One reviewer thought they could ignore the out of town guest only policy. This is a hostel though. (It’s in the name.) Similar policies aren’t just common in other hostels, they’re the norm.
Look, I’ve stayed here in 2010 and 2011 too. Even then, when there were problems that were fixed by the out of town only rule, the 11th Avenue was a budget tourist gold mine. The location is better than any of the fanciest 5 star hotels in Denver. The price, even for the private rooms, are unbeatable for what the hostel is. (It’s not a rooming house or an “hourly” motel, it’s a nice place.)
I see they’re closed for renovations now. I worry the prices will raise significantly upon reopening; hopefully it would be out of reach. Either way, this place served me well in my travels over the years. I thank them for that.

This place is no thrills. The thrill there was a bed, the better thrill checking out. With a world reknown hostel around the block ( Ember), this place has seriously work to do. Also, they are doing a huge renovation, while hosting people during Covid-19.. that doesn’t make sense. This place is also more of a lounge place for homeless & transitioning people than a true backpackers hostel. The staff at check in where nice though.

Lovely place: colorful, clean, far more interesting than a chain hotel. Real clawfoot tubs, windows that open, and architecture you can’t find elsewhere. The building is 117 yrs old, solid, and being modernized (ongoing construction) w/out losing any of what makes it interesting.
On the flip, the TV options could use an upgrade and water pressure is a bit low. But neither of these things was substantive enough for me to give less than 5 stars.

Great staff, comfortable suites. I just could not regulate temperatures in bedroom versus thermostat in other room. Quiet on top floor but could still hear door closings at 2am. Positive is its closest to the convention center is a plus. They need shuttle to rail central station for rides to airport. Rail and bus metro stations are nearby. Although they don’t have their own restaurant for room service they are Close to many restaurants. Social club is on first floor. Breakfast and Manager reception is good.

The coziest, homiest hotel. Large rooms, very clean. Plantation shutters in the windows – feels like an upscale apartment building. Nice bar and seating area on 4th floor, with a pleasant Disney-like, Miniature Golf-like, water feature. Parking is pretty easy, although expensive. Very helpful and courteous staff. Highly recommend.

Obsessed with the beds here, so comfy! Stylish lobby and modern/clean rooms. **TIP: Paying to park at the hotel is too expensive, there’s a parking lot right across the street that’s way cheaper and it’s on a one way street so it’s easy to walk between the hotel and public garage. Keep in mind there’s no hot tub, daily cleaning service, or free breakfast. We loved the capability to text hotel staff requests like extra blankets & toiletries!

Super accommodating… got us in at 11 AM check in.
Rooms are clean, very nice and updated furniture and bathrooms.
Food at the restaurant and bar on-site are amazing. Staff and service are exceptional.
I will be gong back to the Grand Hyatt, the next time I am in Denver.
Also, park in the public ramp across the driveway, I want to say it is like $8/day.

The pros: The layout of the hotel is nice. It is clean and the pool and workout area are open until 12am. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was quite good.
The cons: Parking is an issue and an added expense. Be prepared for extra taxes also. The beds are very firm and the pillows were very soft…an interesting mix. The room I was in was subject to strange chirping street noise for most of the night.

The hotel is very nice. A little hard to find as it is tucked away behind shrubs. The staff recommended a restaurant down the street that was wonderful Our room was very small with very tight walking areas around the beds. I would stay again but definitely ask for a larger room.

Hotel is fine. Beware of the parking advice the front desk will give you. You will be told that the lot across the street is $15 per day, but you need to know this means you must go pay again by 6:00 a.m. or risk getting a ticket. You cannot book multiple days at once. You will not be told there are not in-and-out privileges until after you have paid for your first day of parking and receive the receipt.

Great hotel in the downtown Denver area. The hotel was able to accommodate a large room block for a company training I was attending. Great location for the Denver business district and within walking distances to many restaurants. I enjoyed the room balcony and city views. There were also great views of the sunrise. The room was kept clean and the closet was decently sized.

Whatever you do, don’t stay here. If you do: triple check your card statements.
I stayed for four nights and was completely unsatisfied. The first night we got there the staff was really friendly and accommodating. The next day we traveled around town all day and our room wasn’t cleaned, and no new linens. We figured they were short-staffed as everyone is experiencing, so we’d say something if it didn’t happen the following day. Same thing, so we asked the desk on our way out and they said they would take care of it. We had to ask multiple times and only on the last night did we get new sheets and towels, the room wasn’t cleaned. We had to go up to the roof to take some towels to tide us over. Valet was a bit unreliable as well. One day we waited about 45 minutes for the valet when they were nowhere in sight and there was a line of 4 groups ahead of us all waiting. Luckily we had an extra key so just grabbed our car ourselves from the lot.
Coming back home I checked my card statement and saw a charge that I didn’t recognize. I called the hotel and they said it was for a deposit and it would go away within a few days. The deposit amount didn’t match our stay or receipt but waited a few days to see if it would. I called again and they said the same thing. I asked to speak to someone else to work out the charges and to figure out what I was being charged for. When I talked to the accounting department at this hotel they said that since my stay was extended (booked on the website for our entire stay and had a confirmation number) that were charged extra for the weekend days we stayed. I shared my confirmation number and amount originally quoted. I was told to just dispute the charges as there wasn’t much they could do.
After the phone call with their accounting department, I called my card company to dispute the charges. While on the phone the card company said there was another charge on my account for another $160. That charge came through the same day I talked to the accounting department. I had to get a whole new card as this card was comprised and I didn’t want to incur anymore unrelated charges.
Upset that my information wasn’t secure I had requested to speak to corporate. After several calls to corporate and filing a complaint with the company I still haven’t heard back. I have never had a company completely ignore my requests and concerns. I’m honestly shocked at how unresponsive they are.

Staff was wonderful! However the following items need to be addressed. There’s 3 elevators and only 1 worked. It’s a huge issue as the line to wait for an elevator takes forever as those elevators are tiny to be able to fit a bunch of people in. Next our shower had mold growing inside it as I could visually see it as well as smell it. And the shower took literally 7 minutes from the time it got turned on till the time warm water arrived. Not fun having to wait for warm water when wanting to take a shower. The ac in the room didn’t work either. I had the controls to cool and turned it to 60 and it never got below 72 in the room in 24hrs. It was very hot in the room on the 9th floor. Cleaning needs to be better in the rooms. There were stains on the bench at the foot of the bed and it’s definitely not “yogurt stains” also hair everywhere. The pillows were comfy as well as bed otherwise.

Fun, quirky hotel…conveniently located, good amenities. Only major complaint was it never got “cold” enough in our room to our liking…the a/c was loud, and while it was “cool”, we prefer to sleep in colder temps and it just never got there..even as loud, and as hard as it was working. Also, rooms are a bit small, but it was just two of us, so that wasn’t a big deal for us. I would recommend this place to friends.

Beautiful building. Old department store vending was not up to par. Had to go to the lobby if you wanted something to eat. That aside it is in a perfect location close to pharmacies, 7-11,and the breakfast joint next door is a real stand out. I placed an order for pickup consisting of chocolate chip pancakes , sausage, and a Liter of Jamison. Tarantula Billiards just around the corner has a great burger that won’t gouge the funds. All in all a great hotel with a great staff and a grand lobby. Vending accessibility should not be a journey to the lobby.

Quickly a Denver staple this hotels’ mid-oughts remodel age is starting to show. The furniture no longer sits cleanly and crisply in the lobby, the design no longer feels free and fresh… The staff is helpful as always but it’s almost like the hotel feels like a retrofit in the space, cost cut for whatever reasons have really given way to an overall sense that the space is probably got a few more years before it’ll have to be redone from the ground up….again. Largely lacking in general amenities the ones that are available have got that patina of grime that can’t be wiped or sanitized away. In two, maybe three years it’ll be a pretty expensive stay for a down-market experience. Your best looking elsewhere for a quality experience.

Update (February 2019) – well, what was once a fun and spunky interior with style you wouldn’t find in too many other places (seriously, the rooms and lobby used to feel like a cross between Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and a 1940’s theatre house), the remodel leaves it feeling like any other hipster-modern-Manhattan-loft hotel. It’s dull, unoriginal, and doesn’t fit the legacy of the building or the history of it. Not to mention the quality of the work is poor (wallpaper already peeling, the curtains not working, the hangers don’t fit on the “wardrobe” in the bedroom, the furniture layout not well thought out, the lack of outlets and switches…lol… They placed floor switches on all the interior room lighting (all lamps except for the entrance light) and they are difficult to find and some even to work.) This place used to be my favorite hotel in Denver. Kimpton brought a youthful, forward thinking vibe to the place and the hotel itself felt full of history while being vibrant in color and in style. Now it’s barely worth remembering… Including the complete lack of welcoming and friendliness of the front desk staff.
Oh, one more thing. There are a number of rooms that face a tall building in the back. When you stayed here you knew you weren’t getting a view, but the rooms were sultry and decadent which made the lack of light not only tolerable, but almost romantic. Now the muted hues of mostly greys and blues appear sad and depressing in those rooms. A downgrade in every way. And since the main lobby is under construction, you have to go downstairs to a temporary lobby, which is also underwhelming. And the mess from the main lobby construction was leaking everywhere.
This is the old review:
Great rooms…LOVE the bathroom/shower. So spacious and clean. The decor is spunky, fresh, and just the right balance of energizing and relaxing. Fun retro vibe to it as well. Kimpton does a great job of thinking of everything amenities-wise (and the products provided smell great!). Front desk personnel here were responsive and efficient. Valet and bell were wonderful. Only downside was very late check-in and leaving next day they begrudgingly allowed “late” check-out of 12:45pm. Made getting work done on a Friday arrival impossible and enjoying hotel amenities more difficult.

Spa was so relaxing and nice to visit. You can use the hot tub, relaxation room and steam room before a massage. It was very clean and a perfect spa day.

David Mcintyre was a godsend. I made my original reservation through booking.com, and I had to modify it. David walked me through the steps I needed to make this happen, then he secured an extra room and help me modify the other reservation that I had. It wasn’t easy. He was moving guests who hadn’t checked in yet, checking with housekeeping, and many other tasks to make this happen. Most hotels would not even make any part of this effort. This is one of the reasons we love Four Seasons. They take care of their customers and do what they can to make the experience great. They certainly did that here. Would definitely come again

We came here for our anniversary and it was everything I hoped! I would recommend staying more than one day to fully appreciate the amenities. They called the day before to confirm our room and the requestes I made for champagne and flowers. They consulted with me on what I wanted to be in the room when I arrived. They offered I believe 12 dozen roses for $130. The box of rose petals were approximately $35. Our chocolates were comped for our anniversary and the dom 2010 ran about $420 on ice and ready to go. It was gorgeous and our room was amazing. We even ordered room service. I would recommend the cheeseburger and fries!!! The pizza was more like a school lunch pizza and the chicken strips were not bad, but it’ll hit the spot if that’s what you are craving! This is a great spot to stay if you are walking to the ball arena (Pepsi center).

Westin Downtown Denver was our wedding block for 80 out of town guests. All guests, including us newlyweds, loved the hotel space. It was clean with a beautiful rooftop pool for friends meeting up casually. Also very close to main downtown attractions. Wedding block rate was very reasonable. It didn’t include complimentary breakfast, but they still have breakfast at the hotel and many restaurants nearby. Elena and team were very accommodating for booking rooms and answering questions. Would 100% recommend!!

We spent the evening at this lovely place after visiting Meow Wolf. It was too late to drive home (3 hours), and the Westin was a nice respite for our nieces, Husband, and me. Check in was a breeze, and the gentleman checking us in was pleasant and helpful. We would have loved using the pool and fitness facilities, but we didn’t have time. We did feel safe inside as we needed our key card to access our floor. We did not want to pay the hourly rate for parking ($7), in addition to overnight parking ($35), so we walked the half mile to Carmine’s for dinner. We only paid $35 for driving into the parking area for overnight parking.
One of our two concerns was the empty body wash container in the bath/shower. We used the provided bar soap. The other concern was the area in which the hotel is located. Our 12 year old niece did not feel comfortable walking to dinner, or being outside, walking around, even with 3 adults with her (mom, aunt and uncle).
Some of the nice things about the room: cleanliness; soft sheets, bed and lots of pillows; the flat screen TV & available entertainment; the body lotion and scent to help us fall asleep; the ice bucket & coffee/tea/bottled water; the view of the city.

The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. Great amenities, including sanitizing wipes.
The pool deck is also spacious so many people can enjoy without feeling crowded. There is a great workout center if you choose to use it, with a bottle filling station. The restrooms by both (pool and workout center) also have lockers and a shower.
We were able to check-in early and parked in the lot across the street. Easy access to everything you want to visit in downtown Denver.
Wonderful service if you need anything from the desk staff. Our concern (left something in the room) was handled quickly by Christian (I believe was their name) and this will now be our go-to downtown Denver hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel! I was extremely disappointed in the lack of maintenance shown in our room. The bathroom drawers were barely hanging on and one completely came off of the hinges while looking for a hair dryer (which was not in the room). The pictures are definitely better than the actual rooms. Don’t fall for it, get a different hotel. It was not comparable to other Marriott properties I have stayed in. The complimentary breakfast was just as disappointing. They offered Jimmy Dean microwaveable sandwiches which are very cheap and an unhealthy breakfast choice. The muffins they advertised were all out of stock, along with other items on their menu. Nothing fresh and not many healthy options. They did have a variety of cereals with organic milk (the ONLY healthy item). I could not wait to check out. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Three stars because I personally had to wipe down the back of the desk area that was disgusting with some kind of spills on it. The glass on the backside of the desk had gross fingerprints all over it. Other than that, it was a beautiful hotel room, nice and big rooms. The bathroom light was a bit confusing and hard to figure out. Inconvenienced by the bright light through the glass door. The bottom of the bathroom door in our room had serious water damage. No locks on bathroom door. Lost of gross spots that could probably be just wipes off are on the walls all over the room.
The location is Perfect. Easy on and off the hwy. Great area. Great valet.

This place is a half decent hotel. It is old and out dated but clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff is amazingly efficient and friendly!!! They hardly ever answer the phone when you call. And they don’t upkeep on repairs. My phone, air conditioning and bathroom sink hasn’t been repair in the 3 months that I’ve been here. But we do have hot water now!!! They have security and key pads to enter the hotel. I’m very appreciated that I’m allowed to stay here but they are closing their doors on June 30, 2021. That means everyone that is housed here will be back on the streets. Most are struggling to find housing which the Salvation Army just started helping 1momth ago. Giving people little to no choice to where they are going to go live, most are put on housing lists, which is a 2 year waiting list. It is nice to have a safe place to stay, relax and sleep. Thank you for your hospitality.
