Denver Museum of Nature and Science is one of the most visited museums in America, it is located at 2001 Colorado Blvd, the city of Denver CO. It was opened on October 21st, 1971, and has 10 million visitors annually. The museum receives over 5 million visitors every year.
The Museum has a rich history that dates back to 1868 when Eliza Lutz helped found the Women’s Colorado Industrial Club. They created a museum called the “Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys.” In 1898 it was moved to a small building at 14th and Bannock Streets. In 1916 The Women’s Federation of the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys changed its name to The Children’s Hospital Junior Auxiliary. It later became the Denver Children’s Museum.
